The mornings are cooler, the evenings are starting to draw in and somehow, almost overnight, summer seems to have slipped away. The children are back at school, routines are starting again and before we know it, someone will be mentioning christmas !! (although I'm definitely not ready for that yet)!
For me this time of year seems like a natural opportunity to pause and re balance. An oportunity to take a 'how am I doing' moment and possibly explore something new.
Perhaps there's something you've been saying 'I must get around to that one day' A new hobby, an activity, a class or something you used to enjoy but haven't done for a while. This could be the perfect time to do it.
And then what about food..
There's nothing more fun than being in the kitchen when the seasons change, especially when you cook some of thoses lovely wholesome recipes from scratch and making something delicious to share with family and friends.
I'll be sharing some recipe ideas over the coming weeks so keep an eye out for those.
Being outside in autumn has many benefits too for both body and mind. Being in your natural surroundings can help reduce stress, improve your mood and increase feelings of relaxation. Walking provides gentle exercise and which while spending time in natural daylight can help regulate your body clock and support a restful night's sleep.
Most importantly, think about making a little time for yourself as we head towards winter.
